Lambing in Rönnäs and BB Coel is now available for stud

Jessica
This year Jessica had the opportunity to lamb in UK. She went over in early March with Dewr and Merc, she is lambing with Anni and Digs in Burton on a farm with 2000 ewes, she´ll be back in late May.

Lambing in Rönnäs

I had to stay in Finland this spring because of my work etc, fortunately I was able to lamb at Samulis in Rönnäs. When I started in the middle of March, a couple had already lambed, so we had 200 more to go. I stayed at the farm for about 4 weeks, from Monday to Friday and went home over the weekends. Samuli did the nights so it went on quite easy for me.

Big lamb difficult birth, but I managed get it out by myself

Weighing and marking lambs
All ewes are obviously lambing inside, so there is a lot of work building pens and moving ewes and lambs. Also feeding and strawing take a lot of time, then there is weighing andmarking lambs, feeding pet lambs etc.

In the beginning there were some difficult lambings, and it was satisfying to have the selfconfidence and skills to manage by myself, last years experiences from Wales are worth gold!
Four weeks went all to fast and it was time for me to return to my main work. Thanks Samuli for everything!

The Youngsters

I also found time to train the youngsters a couple of times. Samulis Frost is coming on well, not the easiest to train but best ones seldom are
Little Zak is now sold and he´ll be doing agility and some herding with his new owner. He started to progress well, so I´m a little bit sad I had to let him go really...

I saw a pic of a nice red bitch on Sophies wall, something in her expression spoke to me...so I bought her.

I have had some bitch owners interested in Coel, so in February I had both Coels and Rhys eyes checked, both okey. So from now on also Coel is availeble for stud!
